Snap photos at the retro station building and enjoy casual dining on Subana Street
About this spot
Your Enoshima Electric Railway journey concludes at the charming, retro Enoshima Station. Above the ticket barrier, handmade bird figurines wearing knitted clothing line the fence and are hugely popular with children. Extending from the station toward Enoshima, Subana Street is lined with casual food vendors selling takoyaki-senbei (octopus cracker) and soft-serve ice cream, as well as souvenir shops. It's the perfect way to wrap up your trip.
Tips
If you have time and energy to spare, you can walk about 15 minutes from the station to reach the entrance to Enoshima. For your return, taking the Enoshima Electric Railway to Fujisawa Station makes it convenient to transfer to JR or Odakyu.
Best time to visit
Allow 1 hour; the station area gets busy with tourists in the evening.
