The headquarters of the Institute of Space and Astronautical Science, birthplace of the asteroid explorer 'Hayabusa'. The free exhibition facility features a full-scale model of Hayabusa2 and models of historic probes and rockets lined up for viewing. The actual M-V rocket displayed outdoors is awe-inspiring in scale—a sacred site where space-loving children's eyes light up.
Tips
No reservation needed and admission is free, so drop by whenever convenient. The space food souvenirs at the gift shop are hugely popular with children, so buying them in the morning before they sell out is recommended.
Best time to visit
Approximately 1 hour; fewer group tours in late morning.
