End your day with a photo stop enjoying spectacular views of Mt. Fuji and Tateishi rock
About this spot
A historic scenic spot depicted in ukiyo-e woodblock prints, featuring the distinctive rock formation "Tateishi" (standing rock), approximately 12 meters tall, rising from the sea alongside a pine tree. On clear days, you can see Mt. Fuji and the mountain ranges of Hakone across Sagami Bay. At dusk, the sky and sea turn crimson, and the silhouetted Tateishi and Mt. Fuji make a sublime duet—a perfect way to end your day.
Tips
The free parking lot has limited spaces and tends to fill up at dusk, so arrive early. The beach is pebbly and close to the shoreline, so keep an eye on children at all times.
