Great Excitement at the Donut-Shaped Giant Tank as Bluefin Tuna School
About this spot
An aquarium marked by its glass dome. The sight of bluefin tuna racing at high speed through the 2,200-ton donut-shaped giant tank is breathtaking, and at Japan's largest-class penguin display area, you can see their endearing antics up close. The facility also features extensive exhibits designed for children, including a Tokyo Bay creatures corner.
Tips
Note that the aquarium is closed on Wednesdays. On crowded days, there may be queues at the entrance, so right after opening is your best bet. The building is fully equipped with ramps, and you can view exhibits while keeping your stroller.
Best time to visit
About 2+ hours. Right after opening is the most comfortable time
