While tuna auctions are held only in the early morning, by 9 a.m. the market's vibrant energy and culinary offerings are still fully available. For children, it's an exciting social studies field trip experience.

Tips

Closed on Sundays and holidays; Wednesdays often closed too—check the market calendar. Popular sushi restaurants fill up right at opening. Equipped with elevators, so strollers are worry-free.
