A prefectural park sprawling across the site of the Tokorozawa airfield, the birthplace of aviation in Japan. The approximately 50-hectare grounds feature large play equipment, spacious lawns, and outdoor displays of actual transport aircraft, offering the charm of an open space where children can run around freely. The park is beautified with seasonal flowers and tree-lined paths, making it perfect for a morning walk and warm-up.

Tips

The play equipment area is accessible from Koukoen Station, and the park paths are paved, so strollers are easy to push. Restrooms are conveniently located throughout the park.

Best time to visit

Allow 40-60 minutes. Early morning is uncrowded and pleasant.
