Closing the Day with a Visit to the Anime Holy Site Shrine
About this spot
A new shrine adjacent to Tokorozawa Sakura Town, known as the first station of the "Anime Holy Sites 88 Temples." The shrine building was design-supervised by Kengo Kuma, with a phoenix painted by Yoshitaka Amano gleaming on the ceiling. Ema charms and amulets collaborating with anime are popular, making it perfect for closing out a family day with a visit.
Tips
Ema charms and amulets are distributed during reception hours. The grounds are compact and visits are brief; the torii gate front is a favorite family photo spot.
Best time to visit
Allow 20-30 minutes. Evening is peaceful for a calm visit.
