A Wooden Boardwalk Walk Behind the Museum for Observing Marsh Wildlife

Ibaraki's largest natural lake adjacent to the museum. Walking along the wooden boardwalk that extends through the reed beds, you can encounter water birds such as herons and ducks. The marsh is famous for flocks of swans migrating in winter, with autumn through early spring being the best observation season. A delightful walking path for children who love nature observation.
Tips
The boardwalk has low railings in some places, so hold hands with small children. Binoculars will greatly enhance bird watching enjoyment. Bring a hat as there is little shade.
Best time to visit
Allow 30-45 minutes. Early morning offers beautiful light and ideal conditions for observation.
