About this spot
A cascading waterfall that slides down rocks over a stretch of 210 meters. Near the base, a large boulder splits the flow into two streams that resemble a dragon's head—the origin of the falls' name. The teahouse facing the waterfall allows you to savor famous dumplings while enjoying the spectacular view at leisure. The footpath alongside the falls has many stairs but rewards you with an exhilarating sense of the flowing water at close range.
Tips
The observation deck is just behind the teahouse and walkable on level ground from the parking lot, so families with small children can visit with ease. The area is famous for Togoku Azalea in June and autumn foliage in fall.
Best time to visit
Allow approximately 30 minutes. Evening is less crowded and offers better photo opportunities.
