A flower paradise selected by CNN as one of the 'world's dream travel destinations.' The magnificent wisteria blossoms (typically mid-April through mid-May) are spectacular, and as you walk beneath the hanging wisteria trellises stretching overhead, all three generations will cry out in wonder. With camellias, hydrangeas, and winter illuminations providing star attractions year-round, the flat garden paths make it easy to navigate with strollers or wheelchairs.

Tips

Admission fees vary depending on which flowers are in bloom. Early morning visits to see the wisteria at its peak offer a serene, otherworldly atmosphere, and you can purchase the famous wisteria soft-serve ice cream before the crowds arrive.
