A base facility for port town walks, located along the Uchikawa River, also known as the 'Venice of Japan'. With a cafe and a local specialty shop, it's perfect for taking a break before or after your walk. The Uchikawa in front has fishing boats moored along the riverbank in a picturesque, atmospheric setting, and it's also known as a filming location for movies and dramas. Walking across bridges of different designs keeps children entertained throughout.
Tips
The riverbank is a flat walking path and easy to navigate with a stroller. It's recommended to enjoy drinks or ice cream from the cafe while strolling leisurely. Plan for about an hour round trip for the bridge tour; the light during the late afternoon is especially beautiful for photography.
Best time to visit
Approximately 2 hours required. The water's light becomes softer as evening approaches, making for especially photogenic scenery.
