A museum showcasing the former residence and winemaking facilities of Kohtaro Miyazaki, a pioneering brewery master of Japan's wine industry. The white-walled main house and earthen storehouses retain their original character, and the museum displays photographs and video materials documenting winemaking from the Meiji through Showa periods and the history of tourist vineyards. A precious spot where you can experience firsthand why Katsunuma is called the 'birthplace of Japanese wine' in the very location where wine was once produced. Directly across the road lies Château Mercian's wine museum; touring both creates a connected understanding of history.
Tips
Admission is a modest ¥200 for adults, and the intimate facility can be thoroughly explored in about 45 minutes. The displays feature excellent explanatory panels, making it a must-see for wine history enthusiasts. Parking is available. Château Mercian is just a short walk away, so you can leave your car parked and walk—very convenient.

Allow approximately 45 minutes. Mornings have fewer visitors, and you may have the displays nearly to yourself.
