About this spot
A world-renowned experiential art facility created by artist Shusaku Arakawa and Madeline Gins. The space features an elliptical field with undulating slopes and tilted buildings where flat ground is almost non-existent. The sensation of having your sense of balance shaken while walking feels like a giant athletic course for children. Adults can embrace their inner child and explore freely, and nearly every angle makes a great photo opportunity, making picture-taking plenty of fun.
Tips
Admission fees are based on adult rates, with child pricing available. Multiple slopes and uneven terrain require athletic shoes and flexible clothing. Free helmet rentals are available at the entrance—highly recommended for children. A change of clothes is reassuring in case of tumbles. Baby strollers are impractical on the uneven terrain, so a carrier is more convenient.
Best time to visit
Allow approximately 2.5 hours. The afternoon offers softer sunlight, allowing for a leisurely exploration.
