About this spot
A historic park developed on the battleground of the Komaki-Nagakute War, where Tokugawa Ieyasu and Toyotomi Hideyoshi directly faced each other during the Warring States period. Historic monuments and ruins are scattered throughout the greenery, allowing visitors to experience historical romance while strolling. The on-site Local History Museum explains the outline of the battle and the history of Nagakute in easy-to-understand terms, making it perfect for children's introduction to history. With lawns and playground equipment, it's also a convenient spot to refresh tired children.
Tips
Both park admission and the Local History Museum are free. Just a short walk from Nagakute Kosen-jou Station (Linimo line), and parking is available. A large shopping mall is adjacent, making it convenient for refreshments and restroom breaks.
Best time to visit
Allow approximately 50 minutes. The afternoon offers a leisurely pace for walking.
