An amusement park cherished by families throughout the Kansai region under the nickname "HiraPa," it boasts one of Japan's most distinguished histories among existing amusement parks, having opened in 1912. The park features approximately 40 attractions, from thrilling roller coasters to merry-go-rounds for small children, with many rides having lenient height restrictions—making it particularly enjoyable for families with preschoolers. The wooden roller coaster "Elf" (エルフ), which lets you feel the warmth of wood, and the Ferris wheel with views extending to the Yodo River are classic must-tries for families. There's also an animal interaction area, "Animal Hug Hug Town" (どうぶつハグハグたうん), seasonal events, and restaurants and snack stands scattered throughout the park. With so much to experience from morning through early afternoon, "Can we do it again?" becomes unstoppable—making the park the main attraction of the day.
Tips
Just a 3-minute walk from Keihan Main Line Hirakata Park Station (京阪本線・枚方公園駅), with excellent access. Advance web tickets for admission and free passes help you avoid long lines at the ticket window. On weekends, popular attractions have queues from right when the park opens, so it's essential to head to your must-ride attractions first thing in the morning. Baby carriage rentals and baby rooms are available, so families with small children can visit with peace of mind.
