A roadside station located on a high bluff along National Route 9, renowned as a famous sunset viewing spot as its name suggests. From the observation plaza, you can take in sweeping views of Hamada Harbor, the city, and the elegant white cable-stayed Hamada Marine Bridge. As evening falls, the sky and sea become painted in shades of crimson—a dramatic spectacle perfect for concluding your day. Inside the facility, you'll find a souvenir corner stocked with Hamada seafood products and confectionery from the Ishimi region, as well as a restaurant and light food stands with excellent views, allowing you to leisurely browse souvenirs for family while savoring the lingering magic of your journey.

Tips

Free, spacious parking is available. The sunset time changes with the seasons, so research the sunset time in advance and arrive a bit early to secure a good viewing spot at the observation plaza. The evening sea breeze can be cool, so a light jacket is recommended for comfort.
