An interactive museum within Naruto Park dedicated to tidal whirlpools and the Onaruto Bridge. The nickname 'Eddy' comes from the English word for whirlpools. The museum features large-screen videos and digital displays that clearly explain how the tidal height difference between the Pacific Ocean and the Seto Inland Sea creates whirlpools, as well as models and documents showcasing the construction technology behind building a massive suspension bridge across the turbulent strait. Many of the exhibits are participatory and allow you to engage through movement and play, so you can enjoy discovering the true nature of the whirlpools you just saw from the Whirlpool Path. The rooftop observation deck offers sweeping views of the Onaruto Bridge and the Naruto Strait, combining both learning and scenic beauty.
Tips
Purchasing a combination ticket with the Whirlpool Path is more economical than buying separate tickets. The museum is air-conditioned indoors, making it a perfect place to cool off after being buffeted by sea breezes on the Whirlpool Path. The rooftop observation deck also offers good views from the free-access area, so don't forget to stop by.

Approximately 1 hour required. Visiting right after the Whirlpool Path allows the whirlpool mechanisms you just witnessed to click into place.
