A submarine sightseeing boat touring the Takeshima marine park waters. Descending the boat's stairs, you'll find yourself in an underwater viewing room. Through windows on either side stretches a spectacular view of branching coral colonies and colorful fish such as butterfly fish swimming between them. The appeal of this boat is experiencing a real coral sea without getting wet or needing to swim—the entire experience takes approximately 45 minutes. It's the perfect finale to your day of transferring from bus to train to this aquatic vessel, a true "sea vehicle" experience. Weather and sea conditions may cause cancellations, so remember to check the day's operational status.

Tips

Purchase boat tickets at Marine Jam. The boat may not operate on days with high waves, so confirm the operational status early in the day before heading out. Hold the handrail carefully when descending the stairs to the viewing room. If you're concerned about seasickness, consider taking prevention medication.

Best time to visit

Approximately 1 hour 30 minutes (boat ride is about 45 minutes). Mid-day when the sun is high, the underwater view is brightest and fish are most visible.
