A landmark tower in Fukuoka standing 234 meters tall in the Seaside Momochi district, boasting the status of Japan's tallest seaside tower. Its triangular prism shape, covered with approximately 8,000 half-mirrors, reflects the sky and clouds, constantly changing its appearance and making it photogenic even from below. Ascending to the observation deck at 123 meters above ground, you'll find an expansive 360-degree panorama: beneath you lie Hakata Bay and a sandy beach arc, and turning around, the Fukuoka cityscape stretches endlessly. You can even spot Noko Island floating in the sea, where you spent your morning—offering the joy of reviewing your journey from above. The tower is also known for seasonal illuminations that color its outer walls at night.
Tips
Weekend and holiday ticket counters can get crowded, so allow extra time. Clear, sunny days offer the best visibility for viewing distant locations, so fair weather is recommended for the observation. Try to find Noko Island from the observation deck by referring to the directional guide displays.
