Steamed mochi dough wrapped around sliced sweet potato and red bean paste offers a simple sweetness perfect for a drive snack. Browsing the shelves to find your favorite flavors is an enjoyment unique to markets, making this a must-visit stop at the beginning of your Pearl Line journey. The area in front of the Amakusa Shiro statue is a classic photo spot.
Tips
Ikinari dango tastes best fresh from steaming—head straight to the sales counter upon arrival. If buying dried or refrigerated seafood products, a cooler bag is useful for safe transport. The hall is spacious, so you may also choose to visit again on your return journey.
