Great Fun with Grass Sledding on the Highland at 700 Meters Elevation
About this spot
A recreational facility nestled in the mountains of Mifune Town at approximately 700 meters elevation. A long grass sledding slide stretches down gentle slopes of the grassy meadow, and sledding down on grass sleds in one thrilling rush brings cheers from both children and adults. The spacious lawn offers excellent views and provides a refreshing place to unwind in the highland breeze alone. The facility also includes a well-maintained campground, and the clear air makes for beautiful starry nights. After a full day touring dinosaurs, stone bridges, and waterfalls, finishing with vigorous play will leave children soundly asleep on the drive home. A perfect highland location to conclude your family journey.
Tips
Grass sleds are available for rent, so you can enjoy them without bringing your own, but clothing can easily get stained from grass and dust—wear clothes you don't mind getting dirty. Work gloves protect your hands when sledding. The highland is cooler than lower elevations, so bring a light layer as it can get chilly in the evening.
Best time to visit
Approximately 1 hour. The late afternoon when slanting light turns the meadow golden is particularly pleasant.
