This highland farm raises the rare Gandhi cattle, of which only a few are kept in Japan. These cattle, native to Guernsey Island in the English Channel, produce milk with a subtle golden hue and rich, creamy flavor called "Golden Milk." When made into the farm's signature soft-serve ice cream, the milk's richness and sweetness truly shine. The on-site shop stocks milk, yogurt, and confections made from dairy products—a pleasure for souvenir shopping. The location offers wonderful views of mountains beyond the pastureland. Savoring soft-serve while feeling the highland breeze is the perfect reward for a day spent touring flowers and history.

Tips

Soft-serve ice cream is best enjoyed outdoors with the views, but the highland wind can be strong, so eat quickly before it melts. A cooler bag is handy for dairy product souvenirs. The return route follows mountain roads, so depart before it gets dark.
