A Seaside Park Greeted by a Large Sailboat Playground and White Sandy Beach

About this spot

A waterfront park stretching along Araha Beach on the west coast of Chatan Town. The symbol of the park is a large playground structure inspired by the Indian Oak, a British sailing ship that ran aground offshore. Children's voices echo from the morning through the deck designed deck and slides. Before you stretches a white sandy beach and azure sea, with grassy open spaces serving as a favorite gathering spot for local residents. The tree-lined promenade, with views of the East China Sea visible beyond the palm trees, offers a delightful morning walk. Feel the sound of the waves and sea breeze throughout your body as you leisurely begin your day at an Okinawan seaside.

Tips

Although there is a parking lot, weekends can be crowded with families, so arriving early in the morning is recommended. If you plan to walk on the sand, shoes or sandals that keep sand out are convenient. The seaside has limited shade, so don't forget a hat and water.

Best time to visit

Approximately 1 hour 15 minutes. The morning is recommended when sunlight is soft and the playground is less crowded.
