About this spot
This is Hiratsuka's coastal hub, featuring well-maintained beach volleyball courts and a boardwalk. In summer, beach houses open up, allowing visitors to enjoy each their own beach time—whether it's sand play, coastal walks, or beach sports. The Sagami Bay spreads out magnificently in front, and to the west, you can see the silhouette of Mount Fuji on clear days. Since it's within walking distance to the fireworks venue at the mouth of the Sagami River, the plan is to spend time relaxing here until evening.

2026年8月28日(金)開催、8月最後の金曜日を飾る湘南の花火大会です。相模川河口から打ち上がる約3,000発は、打ち上げ場所との距離が近く、音が体に響く間近さが持ち味。スターマインの連発と、夜空いっぱいに開く尺玉の締めくくりは、夏の終わりを実感させてくれます。都心の大規模大会とはひと味違う、ゆったり見られる地元花火の良さを味わってください。
Tips
荒天時の開催可否は大会公式の発表で確認を。終了後は平塚駅までの徒歩が中心で混み合うため、余韻を楽しみながらゆっくり歩くつもりで。駅までは約25分です。
Tips
About a 20-minute walk from the south exit of Hiratsuka Station (buses are also available). Showers and shops operate seasonally in summer. As evening approaches, head toward the venue by walking along the coast in the direction of the Sagami River mouth on the east side.

Approximately 3 hours required. Spend time leisurely from afternoon beach activities through the evening move to the venue
