Stroll Through the Seaside Area Scenery at the Intersection of Sumida River and Tokyo Bay
About this spot
A historic structure in Chuo Ward completed in 1940 as a movable bridge spanning the Sumida River. It now serves as a fixed bridge, offering views of both the upstream and downstream directions of the Sumida River and the Tokyo Bay waterfront beyond. This bridge is on the direct route to Harumi Pier area, where you can confirm the direction of the fireworks launching site off Harumi Pier. From the Katsutori area beyond the bridge to Harumi, you can access on foot, making it an ideal walking course before heading to secure a viewing spot in the evening. Enjoy the autumn seaside scenery while walking along the riverside promenade.

2026年10月24日(土)17時30分から19時まで、晴海埠頭沖(東京港)から約12,000発が打ち上がる東京湾大華火祭です。秋の澄んだ夜空に開く大輪の花火は色鮮やかで、東京湾の水面に映る光の帯がいっそう幻想的な雰囲気を生み出します。対岸のお台場や有明の夜景、レインボーブリッジのイルミネーションを背景に花火が開く光景は、東京ならではのスケール感。約1時間30分にわたる長尺の打ち上げで、フィナーレに向けて次第に規模が大きくなる構成も見どころです。波の音と秋風の中で楽しむ、首都の夜空を彩る花火大会です。
Tips
荒天時の開催可否は大会公式の発表で確認を。終了後は晴海・勝どき周辺の道路と都営大江戸線勝どき駅が大混雑するため、フィナーレ後は公園内でしばらく余韻を楽しんでから時間差で帰宅するのがおすすめ。帰りのバス・電車の時刻と混雑状況は事前に調べておきましょう。足元が暗くなるのでスマホのライトがあると安心です。
Tips
About a 5-minute walk from Katsutori Station on the Toei Oedo Line. The bridge's walkway is wide and easy to traverse; however, on the evening of the fireworks festival, crowds heading to view the show increase, so it's safe to pass through early. From the bridge to Harumi Futon Park is about a 15-minute walk.
Best time to visit
Approximately 45 minutes required. Enjoy the view from the bridge during the time of day when afternoon light reflects on the river's surface.
