A lush green park centered on Saga Castle Ruins (佐賀城跡), where the north moat (北濠), the main venue for tonight's fireworks festival, is located. After leaving the Honmaru History Museum, a walk around the north moat allows you to check out the fireworks launch site and viewing areas in advance during the day. 佐賀城下栄の国まつりのフィナーレを飾る、佐賀城下花火大会です。2026年5月23日(土)20時30分から20時45分にかけて、佐賀城跡北濠周辺と佐賀市シンボルロード上空に約1,300発の花火が打ち上げられます。歴史ある城跡の石垣と濠を背景に開く花火は、城下町ならではの趣があり、濠の水面に映る光の揺らぎも見どころのひとつです。シンボルロードから見上げると花火が真上に近い角度で広がり、迫力ある観覧が楽しめます。祭りの賑わいの中で家族と並んで夜空を見上げる15分間は、城下町佐賀の1日を締めくくるにふさわしいひとときです。

Tips

荒天時の開催可否は佐賀市または大会公式の発表を当日確認してください。終了後は観覧客が一斉に移動するため、佐賀駅方面は大変混雑します。フィナーレ後は少し会場周辺にとどまって余韻を楽しんでから移動するのがおすすめ。駐車場は早くから満車になるため、公共交通機関の利用または臨時駐車場の事前確認を。

Tips

Right from Saga Castle Honmaru History Museum (佐賀城本丸歴史館), you can freely stroll through the park (admission free). The viewing areas along the north moat (北濠) are set up from evening onward, so it's helpful to familiarize yourself with entrances and traffic flow during the day for a smooth experience at night. Benches are located throughout, so you can rest comfortably while taking a leisurely walk.
