The Saga Castle Fireworks, the grand finale of the Saga Castle Town Sakae no Kuni Festival. From 20:30 to 20:45 on Saturday, May 23, 2026, about 1,300 fireworks will be launched over the area around Saga Castle Ruins' north moat and Saga City's Symbol Road (シンボルロード). Fireworks opening against the backdrop of the historic castle ruins' stone walls and moat have a charm unique to a castle town, and the shimmer of light reflected on the moat's surface is one of the highlights. Looking up from Symbol Road, the fireworks spread almost directly overhead, letting you enjoy a powerful view. These 15 minutes spent looking up at the night sky alongside your family amid the festival's excitement are a fitting way to close out a day in the castle town of Saga.

Check on the day whether the event will proceed in bad weather through official announcements from Saga City or the event organizers. Roads toward Saga Station get very congested afterward, as viewers all move at once. It is recommended to linger a bit around the venue to enjoy the afterglow before heading out after the finale.
