The Kashima Citizens' Summer Fireworks Festival (鹿島市民納涼花火大会) is launched after the second day of the Kashima Odori (鹿島おどり) dance ends. Food stalls line the street in front of the station, letting you pick up dinner amid the excitement of the dance. Enjoy stall food like grilled chicken skewers, fried chicken, and shaved ice alongside the locals, and be sure to secure your viewing spot before the fireworks begin.
