The fireworks display that crowns the finale of the Ashiya Summer Carnival launches from 7:45pm to 8:30pm on Saturday, August 1, 2026. The venue is Shio-Ashiya Beach (Mirataps Park Ashiya), where large fireworks bloom one after another in the night sky over the wide expanse of Osaka Bay. Watching from the unobstructed beach gives you a wide field of view, and the sound of the fireworks carries powerfully across the water's surface to your body. The 45 minutes in which the sea breeze and the sound of the waves layer with the booming of the fireworks is an experience unique to a seaside fireworks display. Look up from the sand with your family as the finale's rapid bursts light up the sea and sky all at once.

Be sure to check whether the event will go ahead in case of severe weather via official announcements from Ashiya City or the event organizer. Afterward, the surrounding roads, bus stops, and nearest station get extremely crowded, so it's a good idea to enjoy the afterglow on the beach for a while before moving at a staggered time. Look up the shuttle bus or walking route toward Hanshin Ashiya Station in advance. It gets dark underfoot, so a phone light or small flashlight will help you feel at ease.
