About this spot

The spacious grassy plaza in the park's center is an excellent position for viewing the fireworks. In the evening, spread out a leisure sheet to secure your spot and have dinner with food you brought or purchased from the park's vendors. Watching the early summer sunset sink below the hillside ridge line offers an ever-changing sky view, letting you truly appreciate the beauty of Hokkaido's long twilight hours. If food stalls are present, they tend to get crowded before the fireworks, so arrange your meal early. As night falls, temperatures drop, so retrieve your cardigan or jacket here.

Tips

The park's vendors are expected to be crowded on the evening of the fireworks, so we recommend obtaining food and beverages in advance. Prepare a jacket to cope with the temperature drop after sunset. Restrooms are located in multiple areas throughout the park, but queues form before the fireworks start, so use them early.

Best time to visit

Approximately 2 hours 15 minutes required. A leisurely time to enjoy the color changes of the hillside sunset.
