The Teganuma Fireworks Festival, held from 7 PM to 8:10 PM on Saturday, August 1, 2026, is one of Chiba Prefecture's premier summer fireworks displays, viewable from both the Kashiwa and Abiko shores. With approximately 13,500 fireworks, it delivers impressive spectacle, with successive large bursts blooming across the sky above the expansive lake. From the Abiko venue at Teganuma Park, the inverted reflections of fireworks on the water are also beautiful, and the unique sense of depth created by viewing the fireworks across the lake is a breathtaking sight found nowhere else. Check the official festival website or announcements from Kashiwa and Abiko cities in advance to confirm whether the event will proceed in case of bad weather. After the show concludes, the route back to Abiko and Kashiwa stations becomes very congested. It's recommended to enjoy the afterglow at the lakeside for a while before heading home at a staggered time. Since it will be dark, it's reassuring to bring a small light. Check the return train schedules on the Joban Line in advance.
