A lush green park spreading across the Aoba-yama area adjacent to Sendai Castle Ruins, overlooking Hirose River. While located in the Sendai cityscape, the tree-lined walking paths remain cool even in the height of summer, where you can rest leisurely in shaded benches. From elevated points in the park, you can look down at the Hirose River floodplain, which helps you grasp the overall picture of tonight's viewing area. Here, conserve your energy as you prepare to secure your viewing spot for the evening. The riverside walking path along Hirose River provides direct access to the floodplain below.

Tips

From Sendai Castle Ruins, you can move through the park on foot while sightseeing. There are vending machines in the park, so replenish your beverages. In the evening, head toward the Hirose River floodplain through the park. While the walking paths are well-maintained, they become dark at night, so choose a well-lit route for your return journey.

Best time to visit

Approximately 1 hour 30 minutes required. On a summer afternoon, you can spend leisurely time enjoying the coolness of the shade and the river views.
