A quiet hot-spring area in Ebino City, with inns and bathing facilities scattered along the Sendai River (川内川). Surrounded by the nature of the Kirishima foothills, it has a calm atmosphere with the sound of the river's murmur. At this time before the fireworks, the hot-spring town is still quiet, and simply walking the riverside promenade lets you feel far from everyday life. Some facilities offer day-use hot-spring bathing, so freshening up before the evening fireworks is also a good option. The Kyomachi Riverbed (京町河川敷), tonight's fireworks venue, is right nearby, so it's a good chance to check out the atmosphere in advance.

Tips

About 10 minutes by car from Ebino Roadside Station (道の駅えびの), and within walking distance of the fireworks venue riverbed. Check each facility's official information for day-use bathing prices and hours. From evening onward, the area starts getting crowded with food stalls and spectators, so we recommend taking a leisurely stroll through the hot-spring town during this earlier window.

Best time to visit

Allow about 1 hour 30 minutes. In the quiet time before evening, you can leisurely enjoy the riverside atmosphere.
