Spring water points are scattered throughout the village's alleyways, and water selected as one of Japan's "100 Famous Waters" by the Ministry of the Environment continues to sustain local life. Tips

Spring water points are scattered within walking distance from Ikiji Station (生地駅) throughout the settlement. Some alleyways have little shade, so bring a hat and beverages before setting out. Some spring water is potable, but check signage before use. Comfortable walking shoes recommended.

Best time to visit

Approximately 1 hour 15 minutes required. Even during hot daytime hours, the water's edge remains cool and pleasant for walking.
