Samino River Higashi-Tsu River Park, which serves as the main venue for tonight's fireworks display, is a lush green river park spreading along the riverbank. As evening approaches, food stalls begin to line up, and the bustle of the summer festival envelops the riverbed. The earlier you arrive to secure a spot, the better position you can find with a good view of the river, so arrive while it's still light and spread out your leisure sheet. The evening breeze blowing along the river is pleasant, and waiting for the show while fully experiencing the Yamaguchi summer twilight is one of the important joys of this course. Grab yakisoba or shaved ice from the stalls and slowly watch the night sky change to indigo.

2026年7月25日(土)20時から21時まで、椹野川東津河川公園を会場に打ち上げられる小郡夏まつり花火大会です。約4,000発の花火が川沿いの夜空に次々と開き、川面に映る光の帯とともに山口の夏の夜を鮮やかに彩ります。河川という開けた空間で打ち上げられる花火は遮るものがなく、大輪の花火が真上に広がるように見える迫力が魅力です。地域に長く親しまれてきた夏まつりの花火は、フィナーレに向けて連発が続き、音と光が川面いっぱいに弾けるクライマックスは圧巻の一言です。川風とともに楽しむ、山口の夏の忘れられない一夜になります。

Tips

荒天時の開催可否は主催者の公式発表で事前に確認してください。終了直後はJR新山口駅や周辺道路に帰宅客が集中するため、花火終了後は少し時間をおいてから移動するのがおすすめです。足元が暗くなるため、小さなライトがあると安心です。

Tips

Within walking distance from JR Shin-Yamaguchi Station or a few minutes by taxi. On the day of the fireworks, surrounding roads become congested from evening onwards, so using public transportation is convenient. More mosquitoes appear along the river after evening, so don't forget insect repellent spray. Identify the restroom locations early.
