Securing Your Spot on the Riverbed and Filling Your Stomach with Food Stall Cuisine Before the Fireworks
About this spot
The venue for the Isawa Onsen Fireworks Festival—the Fuefuki River riverbed in front of Fuefuki City Hall Main Building. As evening falls, food stalls begin to line up, and the area around the venue takes on a festive atmosphere like a festival. After spreading out your leisure sheet to secure a viewing spot, visit food stalls to get Yamanashi specialties like houtou noodles, sweets made with fruit, and standard fare like okonomiyaki and fried chicken for dinner. The Fuefuki River breeze becomes cool before and after sunset, offering a natural pleasantness different from the city. As darkness falls and the river surface gradually darkens, enjoy this time slowly while eating.

Tips
Tips
Fuefuki City Hall is about 15 minutes on foot from Isawa Onsen Station or 5 minutes by car. On fireworks day, surrounding roads become congested, so using public transportation or parking early is recommended. Restrooms around the venue get crowded, so use them with plenty of time before the start. Food stalls may sell out, so get your food early.
Best time to visit
Approximately 1 hour 30 minutes required. The riverside at dusk is the coolest and most pleasant time of the day.
