Yugou Onsen is counted as one of the "Mimasaka Three Hot Springs" along with Okutu Onsen and Yuhara Onsen, representing a premier hot spring destination in Mimasaka City. The spring has an ancient history, said to have been discovered by the Buddhist priest Jikaku Daishi. Along the hot spring street are inns and souvenir shops, and simply strolling through the area allows you to enjoy the calm atmosphere characteristic of a hot spring resort. Some facilities offer day-use bathing, so washing away the daytime sweat makes the evening fireworks viewing more comfortable. Being close to the festival venue as well, this area is perfect for starting your day.

岡山国際サーキット花火大会 produced by 磯谷煙火店は、美作市の山あいに位置するサーキットを会場に開催される夏の花火大会です。磯谷煙火店は国内でも高い評価を受ける煙火店で、演出のバリエーションや色彩の豊かさが見どころのひとつです。広大なサーキットのフィールドを活かした観覧エリアは視界が広く、打ち上げられる花火を遮るものなく楽しめます。周囲を山に囲まれた地形が音を反響させ、体に響く迫力ある音も屋外会場ならではの醍醐味です。夏の美作の夜空に咲く花火は、1日のしめくくりにふさわしい絶景です。

Tips

荒天時の開催可否は大会の公式情報で必ず確認してください。終了後は会場周辺の道路が混雑するため、フィナーレ後は余韻を楽しみながら人の流れが落ち着くのを待ってから移動するのがおすすめです。帰り道は足元が暗くなるため、小さなライトを持参しておくと安心です。
