On Saturday, August 1, 2026, at 8 p.m., approximately 3,000 fireworks will launch from the Gonokawa riverbank in Kasuhuchi. The geography, surrounded by Chugoku Mountains on all sides, echoes the sound with each launch—a power that is unique to mountain valley fireworks festivals. The beauty of the fireworks reflected in the river (upsidedown fireworks) is another highlight, as the wide Gonokawa River becomes another screen. The approximately 30-minute program is concentrated with color, as fireworks of every hue successively paint the night sky. Watch the large blossoms of light that bloom just once a year in this quiet mountain town with your whole family from the riverbank.

Please confirm with Misato Town's official announcement on the day whether the event will be held in case of bad weather. After the show ends, the return traffic leaves all at once and surrounding roads become congested, so it's recommended to relax on the riverbank for a while before leaving. The riverbank is dark, so illuminate your footing with a light as you move safely.
