On Saturday, July 18, 2026, from 8 PM for one hour, approximately 2,000 fireworks will illuminate the night sky above Aiba Hama Park (藍場浜公園) in Tokushima City. At this venue along the river unique to Tokushima, the water city where the Yoshino River system (吉野川水系) runs in all directions, the launched fireworks reflect on the water's surface, creating a fantastical sight where light flickers both in the sky and on the water. In the cool night breeze blowing from the waterside, the impact of the launch sound echoing off the water surface combines with the reflection on the water, creating an immediacy quite different from urban fireworks festivals. The moment the finale's rapid-fire bursts light up the sky is the perfect grand finale to this day.

Confirm in advance on the official festival site whether the event will proceed in case of severe weather. After the event, surrounding roads and the direction of Tokushima Station become extremely crowded, so it's recommended to relax in the park for a while after the fireworks end before moving. The way back has dark areas, so a small light is reassuring. Be sure to take all trash with you.

Best time to visit

Aligned with the 8 PM to 9 PM show time. Seating by 7:45-7:50 PM ensures you can secure a spot where you can see the water surface and enjoy the fireworks reflection.
