About this spot

An ancient shrine with the status of primary shrine of Awa Province, located at the foot of Oasa Mountain in the northwestern part of Naruto City. The enshrined deities are Ama-no-Tamatsu-Mitama and Yamato-hime-no-Mikoto, known for their benefits of traffic safety and warding off misfortune. Many worshippers visit from throughout and beyond Tokushima Prefecture. The grounds feature large camphor trees estimated to be several hundred years old, and even in the height of summer, the sacred grove provides cool shade. Located about 20 minutes by car from Naruto Park and on the way back to the city center, it's the perfect spot to pause and collect yourself before tonight's fireworks festival. Simply walking along the stone-paved approach restores a sense of calm in this dignified, serene shrine.

BOATRACE鳴門PRESENTS 鳴門の夏まつりのフィナーレを飾る花火大会です。2026年8月7日(金)20時40分、鳴門大塚スポーツパーク周辺の撫養川上空に約1,000発の花火が打ち上がります。川沿いの親水公園から見上げる花火は視界いっぱいに広がり、川面に映る光が二重の美しさを演出します。夏まつりのにぎわいの中で過ごした1日が、夜空の大輪とともにクライマックスを迎える20分間です。フィナーレの連発が夜空を染め上げる瞬間は、鳴門の夏の記憶として家族の心に刻まれるはずです。

開催日は2026年8月7日(金)、打ち上げ時間は20:40〜21:00。荒天時の開催可否は鳴門市や大会主催者の公式発表を当日確認してください。終了後は周辺道路が混雑するため、花火終了後しばらく川沿いで余韻を楽しんでから移動するのがおすすめです。帰路は足元が暗くなるため、スマートフォンのライト機能を活用してください。

Tips

About 20 minutes by car from Naruto Park. The grounds are free to visit. The shrine office issues commemorative stamps (goshuin). The extensive grounds make comfortable walking shoes convenient. From here, you'll proceed to central Naruto City to prepare dinner and secure a viewing spot near the venue on the Buyo River.
