This large resort complex facing Mikawa Bay combines the theme park Laguna Ten Bosch with the Festival Market shopping and dining facility. In summer, it offers plenty of water attractions and thrill rides, with the appeal of playing while gazing out at the sea. The Festival Market has many restaurants and souvenir shops, making it a great stop for lunch as well. On the day of the fireworks display, crowds concentrate from evening onward, so it's best to enjoy the resort at a relaxed pace in the early afternoon. From the Ferris wheel, you can take in a panoramic view of Mikawa Bay and the town of Gamagori, and even scope out tonight's fireworks venue while it's still daytime.

Tips

A free shuttle bus runs from the south exit of Gamagori Station (about 10 minutes). Check the official website in advance for admission fees and attraction pricing. Summer sunlight is strong, so don't forget a hat and sunscreen. Parking lots get crowded on the day of the fireworks display, so using public transportation is recommended for peace of mind.
