Satisfy your appetite at stalls offering grilled corn, local prepared dishes, and Hegisoha (local buckwheat noodles) while feeling the dedication and prayers of local people offering the fireworks and the fervent atmosphere of a tradition passed down through generations. Around the shrine grounds, preparations proceed for announcing the names of those dedicating the fireworks, building anticipation for the evening. After sunset, move to the hillside viewing area and secure your spot with a leisure sheet before the performance begins.

Katakaicho is approximately 15 minutes by car from downtown Ojiya. On the festival day, traffic restrictions are implemented, and use of shuttle buses and designated parking areas becomes necessary. Complete your stall meal early and settle into your viewing spot by 7:00 PM for the ideal experience.
