The Omokawa riverside area below Kankobashi Bridge (観晃橋下流思川河畔), which serves as the venue for the Oyama Summer Festival, is an open and expansive viewing spot with wide riverbanks. Secure your spot early in the evening, purchase street food, and settle down on your leisure sheet. In early October, the evening air becomes cool, and a light jacket is pleasant to have. Sitting on the riverbank while watching the gradually darkening sky and the flow of the Omokawa River provides a leisurely sense of happiness unique to fireworks festivals. Street vendor stalls tend to get crowded before the finale, so it's wise to purchase early.

Tips

Parking lots around the venue fill up early. From Oyama Station, walking or using a temporary shuttle bus is convenient. Temporary restrooms will be set up, but they may have long lines, so check their locations as soon as you arrive at the venue. In addition to leisure sheets, a foldable cushion will make sitting comfortably for extended periods easier.

Best time to visit

Approximately 2 hours 30 minutes required. Enjoy the riverside scenery and the bustle of the street vendors leisurely around sunset and dusk.
