Experience Yamashika Hot Spring at a National Historic Bathhouse Built Entirely of Japanese Cypress Wood

About this spot

A public bathhouse that has been beloved by residents as a symbol of Yamashika Hot Spring and is designated as a Registered National Historic Cultural Property. The entire wooden structure, reconstructed in the Meiji-era architectural style, is filled with the warmth of wood from the Chinese-gable roof entrance to the ceiling of the bathing room. Since the area directly surrounding this building becomes a viewing area on the fireworks festival day, bathing during the daytime will make evening movement much easier. Yamashika Hot Spring is a simple transparent hot spring with a gentle touch on the skin, safe and enjoyable for children. Relaxing in the lobby after bathing naturally restores your energy to explore the town of Yamashika.
