Held from 7:00 PM to 8:30 PM on Saturday, April 25, 2026, at the "Omagari Fireworks" park on the Yomogigawa River bank in Daisen City, Akita Prefecture, the Omagari Fireworks Spring Chapter "New Fireworks Collection 2026 Fireworks of the World, Fireworks of Japan" features approximately 8,000 fireworks. The collection-format program where fireworks masters from around the world and Japan unveil new creations is an Omagari-signature fireworks event that rivals the National Fireworks Competition in August. As each fireworks master presents ingeniously crafted new creations in succession, you can enjoy different personalities and techniques in each single burst—this is the program's greatest appeal. The large chrysanthemums blooming in the clear spring night sky possess a brilliance and stillness different from summer's festival, and together with the bands of light reflected on the river, they carve an unforgettable memory into the night.

In case of bad weather, be sure to check the Daisen City and official festival website announcements regarding whether the event will be held. The area around JR Omagari Station becomes very crowded after the event ends. Research train and bus schedules in advance and consider staggering your departure slightly to avoid peak congestion. Even in late April, the venue becomes extremely cold at night, so thick outerwear is essential. Some areas are dark, so a small light is useful.
