A verdant park located on the west side of Noshiro city center, cherished by residents for many years. The walking paths through the woodlands offer plenty of shade even in summer, making for pleasant strolls on hot days. From the highland within the park, you can see both the Noshiro city streets and the Sea of Japan together, and it's the perfect place to get a preliminary sense of the direction toward Noshiro Port, which will be the fireworks venue tonight. There's also a play area, making it ideal for young children to enjoy themselves and take a break. As the starting point of your day's journey, begin by moving your body and lifting your spirits.

港まつり能代の花火は、能代港下浜ふ頭特設会場から打ち上がる約15,000発の大花火大会です。日本海に面した港の上空に開く大輪は遮るものがなく、水平線の向こうまで広がる夜空を存分に使ったスケールの大きさが圧巻。スターマインや尺玉など多彩なプログラムが1時間30分にわたって繰り広げられ、港に響く爆音と潮風が五感を刺激します。海面に映る花火の反射も美しく、海辺の花火大会ならではの景観を楽しめます。能代の夏を締めくくるにふさわしい、東北屈指の花火大会のフィナーレを埠頭から見上げましょう。

Tips

荒天や強風の場合は中止または延期となることがあります。当日の開催可否は能代市や港まつり実行委員会の公式発表を必ず確認してください。終了後は会場周辺の道路が混雑します。終演後すぐに移動せず、しばらく会場で余韻を楽しんでから時間をずらして帰路につくと混雑を避けやすいです。足元が暗くなるので懐中電灯やスマートフォンのライトを活用してください。

Tips

About 15 minutes on foot from Noshiro Station (能代駅), or about 5 minutes by bicycle or car. Admission is free. Restrooms are available within the park. On days with strong sunlight, bring a hat and sunscreen. On the day of the fireworks festival, parking lots tend to fill up from evening onward, so if traveling by car in the morning, it's reassuring to note your parking spot during the daytime.
