About this spot

This lush green park, located on the west side of downtown Noshiro, has long been cherished by residents. The walking paths winding through the trees offer plenty of shade even in summer, making for a pleasant walk even on hot days. From a hilltop within the park, you can take in both downtown Noshiro and the Sea of Japan together, making it a perfect spot to confirm the direction of Noshiro Port, tonight's fireworks venue, ahead of time. There's also a play equipment area, ideal for small children to play and take a breather. As the starting point of the day, get your body moving here first to lift your spirits.

Tips

About a 15-minute walk from Noshiro Station, or about 5 minutes by bicycle or car. Admission is free. There are restrooms in the park. If the sunlight is strong, bring a hat and sunscreen before visiting. On the day of the fireworks festival, parking lots tend to fill up from evening onward, so if you're moving by car in the morning, it's reassuring to note your parking spot's location during the day.

Best time to visit

About 1 hour 15 minutes. Around midday, the shaded walking paths are cool, and the view from the hilltop is also clear
