The Yakushido (薬師堂) temple stands in the Jinguji district of Daisen City and has long been a place of faith where local people have prayed for generations for recovery from illness and safe travels. The temple grounds, surrounded by trees, are peaceful and exude a calm atmosphere far from urban hustle and bustle. As autumn approaches this season, tree leaves begin to color and the air within the grounds becomes exceptionally clear. Tips

About 15 minutes on foot from JR Jinguji Station (JR神宮寺駅). For parking, either use the shoulder space along nearby roads or check the fireworks venue parking lot in advance before walking there. Admission is free. The grounds are not large, so overcrowding is rare.

Best time to visit

Approximately 45 minutes required. You can slowly savor the tranquility of the temple grounds in the soft afternoon sunlight.
