An ancient shrine located in Furukawa City that has long served as the guardian deity of the region, cherished by many residents. The shrine grounds, surrounded by greenery, are quiet despite being in the city, and the shade from the trees provides relief from summer heat. Before the fireworks festival night, it is a fitting place for families to pay respects and pray for the safety and enjoyment of the summer festival. The grounds have a calm atmosphere and a compact layout where children can walk safely, and after your visit, it's also nice to take a short walk through the nearby old city streets.

Tips

Within walking distance from Furukawa Station. Parking is available at municipal parking lots around the shrine grounds. As evening approaches on fireworks day, surrounding roads begin to get congested, so it's best to complete your visit during this time period for a smooth experience.

Best time to visit

Approximately 45 minutes required. A visit during the afternoon when the shade from trees is pleasant is recommended.
