About this spot
A shrine located close to the center of Emukai Town, cherished by local people for generations. During the Sentooro Festival period, lanterns are also displayed around the shrine grounds, and as night falls the approach becomes wrapped in fantastical light. If you visit during the daytime, you'll feel mentally prepared to welcome the evening's lanterns and fireworks. The shrine grounds are compact, allowing for a leisurely stroll—a peaceful experience even for families with small children. Visit during the daytime on the festival day to take a moment of respite in the calm atmosphere as your journey begins.

江迎千灯篭まつりのクライマックスを飾る花火です。「千灯篭」の名のとおり、町のいたるところに灯篭が飾られ、日が暮れるとその光が町全体を幻想的に包みます。そのなかで夜空に打ち上がる花火は、灯篭の光と相まって他の花火大会にはない情緒ある光景をつくり出します。灯篭が揺れる通りに立ちながら夜空を見上げる体験は、長崎の夏まつりならではの贈りもの。家族それぞれの目に映るその光景が、今年の夏の大切な記憶になるはずです。
Tips
花火の打ち上げ時刻や詳細は大会公式の発表で事前に確認してください。荒天時は中止または順延になる場合があります。終了後は会場周辺の道路と駐車場が混雑するため、花火終了後はしばらく会場内でゆっくりして、混雑が落ち着いてから移動するのがおすすめです。
Tips
Within walking distance from Emukai Shikamachi Station on the Matsuura Railway. Admission is free. On the festival day, traffic restrictions may be in place on surrounding roads from evening onwards, so it's wise to confirm parking locations and traffic regulation details in advance through official Sasebo City announcements.
Best time to visit
Approximately 45 minutes required. The quiet shrine grounds during daytime are an ideal time to explore before the festival
