Check Shinano Town's official announcements on the day for whether the show will proceed in case of bad weather. Roads and parking around the lakeshore get crowded after the show ends, so if you're driving, it's a good idea to leave in a staggered fashion. The lakeshore has little lighting at night and can be dark underfoot, so bring a small light. Highland nights get cool even in midsummer, so be sure to bring a layer to put on.
